It's of particular interest to me that in Greek mythology crows and ravens were originally white, but turned black by Apollo... or Athena in some versions... and I'd had it in mind to paint something relating to that when I came across a rather lovely boy with an affinity for crows.
He has very kindly allowed me to use his photo and ideas from his own drawing for this painting, for which I am very grateful.
I suggest you check out his gallery...
Watercolours and white ink on hot press watercolour paper.
I've finally got a credit card and I'd really REALLY appreciate having a print of this if you would be willing to make it available I still love this so much.
I love the contrast of the white and black. And the delicate skin tone... How the feathers in the guys hair is subtly there. I love that the crow is white, and that you allowed yourself to be inspired. Spectacular.
