It's of particular interest to me that in Greek mythology crows and ravens were originally white, but turned black by Apollo... or Athena in some versions... and I'd had it in mind to paint something relating to that when I came across a rather lovely boy with an affinity for crows.

The composition is stunning, and you did an excellent job of preventing a white/tint colour palette from getting boring. The subtle tone difference between his flesh and the crow's feathers is especially pleasing.
